This Pierre Jeanneret chair style referenced as PJ-SI-35A was predominantly seen in private homes in Chandigarh around 1960. The low seating style Pierre Jeanneret Armless Easy Chair has a sturdy teakwood construction with braided canework on the backrest and seat. Wide ‘V’ shaped legs are connected together by two crosspieces. The backrest which is slightly tilted and curved is attached to the seat with two bottom supports. This rather cushy chair style would blend seamlessly into any rustic lounge area giving it a mid-century modern spin.
