Primarily designed by Pierre Jeanneret for the administrative buildings in Chandigarh around 1961, the Pierre Jeanneret Cross Easy Lounge Chair is a roomier version of the cross easy chair. Braided canework accents are seen on the seat and slanted backrest of this solid teakwood seating. The double leg assembly forms an ‘X’ shape and also forms the armrests. The legs are connected by a central rail from below. The backrest is connected to the seat with two supports.
